The costume looks similar. Almost nothing else is.

Can the Parents Leave?

This is the question that actually separates the two, and it is the first thing you should ask any company you are considering.

With a party character appearance, no. The performer is not a childcare provider, is generally not vetted as one, and is not taking responsibility for anyone's children. Parents are expected to be present throughout.

What to Ask Before You Book Either One
