This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our Platform.

    This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and governed by our Terms of Service. By using the Platform, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

    1. Information We Collect

    1.1 Information You Provide

    We collect information you voluntarily provide when using the Platform, including:

    • Booking information: Preferred character, booking date, time, location (hotel, vacation rental, or home address), and add-on selections.
    • Emergency contacts: Name and phone number of an emergency contact other than the booking parent/guardian.
    • Waitlist information: Name, email, phone number, preferred market (Orlando or Tampa), and preferred characters.
    • Sitter application information: Name, email, phone number, experience, and other application details.

    1.2 Pre-Booking Health and Safety Information

    Before each booking, parents and guardians provide health and safety information about their children through our pre-booking form. This includes:

    • Children's names and ages
    • Allergies and medical conditions
    • Location of necessary medications (EpiPen, inhaler, etc.)
    • Behavioral notes and special instructions

    This information is collected solely to ensure the safety and well-being of your children during the booked service and is handled in accordance with Section 3 below.

    1.3 Booking and Platform Activity

    We collect information about your interactions with the Platform, including booking history, review submissions, communication with Service Providers through the Platform, cancellation history, and payment transaction records.

    1.4 Payment Information

    All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVV.     1.5 Automatically Collected Information

    When you visit our Platform, we may automatically collect:

    • Browser type and version
    • Device type and operating system
    • IP address and approximate geographic location
    • Pages visited and time spent on the Platform
    • Referring website or source

    We use the information we collect to:

    • Facilitate bookings and match families with available Service Providers
    • Process payments and issue refunds
    • Share necessary pre-booking information with your assigned Service Provider so they can safely care for your children
    • Communicate with you about bookings, account updates, and customer support
    • Conduct background checks and safety screenings on Service Providers
    • Send marketing communications (with your consent, and you may opt out at any time)
    • Improve the Platform, analyze usage patterns, and develop new features
    • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

    3. How We Handle Children's Health Information

    We recognize that the health and safety information you provide about your children is particularly sensitive. We handle this information with additional care:

    • Purpose limitation: Children's health information is used solely to ensure their safety during booked services.
    • Limited sharing: This information is shared only with the specific Service Provider assigned to your booking, who is contractually obligated to keep it confidential.
    • No secondary use: We do not use children's health information for marketing, analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than booking safety.
    • Retention: Health information from pre-booking forms is retained only for the period necessary to fulfill the booking and comply with applicable legal requirements.

    4. How We Share Your Information

    4.1 With Service Providers

    When you make a booking, we share the following information with your assigned Service Provider: your name, phone number, booking location address, children's names and ages, allergies and medical conditions, medication locations, emergency contact information, and any special instructions. Service Providers are contractually obligated to keep this information confidential and use it solely for the purpose of performing the booked service.

    4.2 With Third-Party Service Partners

    We share information with trusted third-party service partners who help us operate the Platform:

    • Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data.
    • Checkr: Background check services for Service Provider vetting. Service Provider personal information (name, date of birth, Social Security number) is shared with Checkr solely for the purpose of conducting background checks.
    • NSOPW (National Sex Offender Public Website): We verify Service Providers against the national sex offender registry as part of our safety screening process.
    • Resend: Email delivery services for booking confirmations, account notifications, and marketing communications.

    4.3 As Required by Law

    We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our users, or the public.

    4.4 No Sale of Personal Information

    We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

    5. Data Retention

    We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Booking records and associated children's information are retained for the duration required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us at the email address below.

    6. Your Rights and Choices

    You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

    • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
    • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
    • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
    • Data portability: Request a copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
    • Opt-out of marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time using the link provided in our emails.
    • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

    7. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

    Our Platform is intended for use by adults (parents and guardians) who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The children's information we collect (names, ages, allergies, medical conditions) is provided by the parent or legal guardian through the pre-booking form and is used solely to ensure the safety and well-being of the children during the booked service. Children do not create accounts on, interact with, or provide information directly to the Platform. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information directly from a child under 13, please contact us immediately and we will promptly delete such information.

    8. Security

    We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

    • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
    • Secure database access controls
    • Limiting access to personal information to authorized personnel only
    • Regular security reviews of our systems and processes
    • PCI-compliant payment processing through Stripe

    However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

    9. Changes to This Policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least thirty (30) days before the effective date. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
